Search engine marketing

Looking back at the last couple of years, it's overwhelming to think just how far we've come. With the launch of our new look Jimmyweb design, it gets us both thinking about the journey we've been on, not just the websites we've created together, but also the people we've met, the experiences we've had and the lessons learned.

The challenge for me at the start of Jimmyweb was to trust in James when he would say "yes, we can do that" at a time when we didn't have a proven record together that we could do it, whatever "it" was.

I knew at the time that James had many impressive skills, but I quickly came to realize that his most important skill was that he always finds solutions to any challenge a client has for us. As nervous as it made me at first, I now share in his confidence.

The web has changed so much in just the last few years. If there wasn't already, there is now so much potential for great web design. It's a very exciting time to be a web developer!

Search engine marketing

I think the thing that has kept driving us the most, is the great clients we've met along the way. We've had the good fortune to work with some very inspirational people who also share in our passion for the potential of the web.

Clients like Natalie and Mark from Glow who are just amazing to talk to; you can't help but be impressed by their attitude to life.

And John from Air Adventure Australia. He runs a successful air tourism business out of Victoria, has a great community of clients who love his product, and he's still so young. We worked with him in the early days of Jimmyweb, to design a fantastic website that even now, still gets positive feedback.

The close working relationship we have with our clients has really made this job enjoyable. Getting feedback from them, telling us about the successful results, the improvement in search engine ranking, the way their website and product is received by their clients, all these things make us realize we're succeeding in our personal goal of making better websites.

It's the "working together" that has made us a success though. Not just the talent within Jimmyweb, but together with talented, motivated and focused clients. It reminds me of an old proverb I heard recently: "If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

We look forward to working together with more great clients, building more fantastic websites in the near future.

James and Ken - a "blog-versation"

Jimmyweb’s James and Ken enjoy having a robust conversation, discussing the big issues facing web design today, in a humourous and sometimes confronting way. But they never, ever come to blows, well not yet anyway! Visit our blog...
