Website Accessibility
Accessibility involves two key issues: first, how users with disabilities access electronic information, and second, how web content designers and developers enable web pages to function with assistive devices used by individuals with disabilities.
In the US and UK - laws have now been passed declaring that websites that are not accessible to disabled users are discriminatory. Based on past experience, it is highly likely that the Australian government will follow suit at some stage in the near future.
Making your website accessible generally does not require a great deal of compromise of design or content, it simply involves following a few basic rules when creating the design and code.
Jimmyweb takes pride in designing sites that are not only functional and attractive, but are also accessible by assistive devices such as screen readers and braille output devices.
